n my arguments regarding the erosion of democracy, the birth of the new aristocracy in America (the tremendous share of wealth controlled by the top 1%) and the growing underclass are two key issues. The existence of a healthy middle class, and a more moderate distribution of income has been a supportive element of America’s democracy since its birth. With the current economic environment, the new aristocracy and the federal government will move to further undercut the economic situation of the people of America (as can be seen in the details of the Immigration Reform bill), and further take back freedoms and liberties won when democracy was created (as can be seen in the activities of the NSA).
