Old news — if you are a long time reader of this site

The Guardian is mostly filled with propaganda, but it is good for news on global warming (which is real). Global heating is accelerating, warns scientist who sounded climate alarm in the 80s | Climate crisis | The Guardian Of course, I am not alone in taking the position that global warming will accelerate faster than … Continue reading “Old news — if you are a long time reader of this site”

Another interesting article

I told myself that I was going to give the topic of global warming a rest, but then I stumbled upon this article: Global warming threatens collapse of Atlantic currents this century, new study finds | Financial Times (ft.com) It is related to another article that I recently referenced, but this one is better written … Continue reading “Another interesting article”

“It’s getting hot in here …”

Sometimes, when I read news stories about climate change, I cannot help but hear that classic Nelly song.  Climate change is a serious issue, and a real one, but of course, the mass media “narrative” (I really do hate that word) is biased to suit their own agenda. This site has long argued that a … Continue reading ““It’s getting hot in here …””

Esoteric

Global warming driven by man-made emissions gets the main focus from the mass media, but it is the natural, self-reinforcing global warming cycles that will be responsible for its acceleration.  There is one long term natural driver of global warming that is mostly ignored – the slowing of the global ocean currents. https://www.theguardian.com/science/2023/may/25/slowing-ocean-current-caused-by-melting-antarctic-ice-could-have-drastic-climate-impact-study-says This is … Continue reading “Esoteric”

The First Trumpet

Besides monitoring the amount of extant Arctic ice each summer, we also keep our eye on events in and around the Arctic Circle.  The reason for this interest is that according to some scientific research, the melting of the permafrost, both land-based and that found under the East Siberian Sea, will release enough methane to … Continue reading “The First Trumpet”

South America’s Drought

Brazil has been suffering ongoing bouts of drought for a number of years now.  Researchers have argued that the deforestation of Brazil will destroy the dynamics which creates the annual rainfall needed to sustain the  Amazonian rainforest. https://forestsnews.cifor.org/26559/the-science-is-clear-forest-loss-behind-brazils-drought?fnl= Brazil and South American countries have continued their slash and burn of the Amazon rainforest, and drought … Continue reading “South America’s Drought”

Ongoing Trends

The Tyranny of Technology Many have commented on how advances in technology have made it possible to implement the mark of Beast (aka the Anti-Christ).  In Revelation 13:11-17, it says: And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.  … Continue reading “Ongoing Trends”

More on Burning Forests

Its summer time, and with it comes the forest fire season.  There have been a couple of more articles, which reinforce our recent thoughts on burning forests and the prophecies of Revelation. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/aug/07/part-of-german-soul-under-threat-as-forests-die German forests have not been spared the effects of a warmer climate.  The heat, drought, and onslaught of beetles have wreck havoc … Continue reading “More on Burning Forests”

Very Rapid Global Warming — revisited

In 2013, a team of scientists at Rutgers University made a dramatic discovery.  55 million years ago, in an event known as Palaeocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum , or PETM for short, global average temperatures rose by 5 degrees centigrade in only 13 years.  Previously, it was thought to have taken closer to 10,000 years. http://www.bbc.com/earth/story/20150914-when-global-warming-made-our-world-super-hot https://geology.rutgers.edu/images/Publications_PDFS/Wright_Schaller_2013.pdf … Continue reading “Very Rapid Global Warming — revisited”
