The Tyranny of Technology
Many have commented on how advances in technology have made it possible to implement the mark of Beast (aka the Anti-Christ). In Revelation 13:11-17, it says:
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Revelation tells us that in the End of Days, along with the first Beast (aka the Anti-Christ), a second Beast will arise. This second Beast is the false prophet — a false Elijah. It will be the false Elijah who will perform miracles for the world to wonder at. It will be this second Beast who commands the world to take up the mark of the Beast, and to worship the Beast as God. To help enforce this command, those who do not receive the mark of the Beast will be unable to buy or sell anything.
With the technology of today, this is now possible to implement. We previously commented on the roll out of a system in India, where a national wide ID was being rolled out, which would be used for a digital savings and payment system. Bill Gates is now working to bring that system to the world (including America).

As technology continues to advance, and as digital payment systems continue to grow, then only two conditions need to be completed to allow for the mark of the Beast. First, a nation-wide (and eventually a world-wide) bio-metric identification system needs to implemented. There have been numerous attempts to pass a bill in the US Congress (referred to as the e-Verify system) to bring this about in America (those efforts have failed so far, but it is not going away). The last step will be the abolishment of cash — the rationalization for such a move has already been laid out by Harvard economists.
One could speculate that the massive debt bubble being created by the central banks is meant as a prelude to a financial and monetary crisis that would serve as an excuse to bring about a economic system that is completely controlled by the federal government.
The Sixth Seal
Global volcanism would appear to be increasing, though nothing definitive has been published by researchers. I bring this topic up as I read a recent article which referred to many similar points to what we have been saying here.

This site has been speculating that an eruption of a supervolcano will bring about the manifestation of the opening of the Sixth Seal (Revelation 6:12-16). The scientific odds of such an event occurring are extremely small, which make it seem like such an eruption would be highly unlikely. However, given the linkage between high levels of global volcanism and the rapid melting of polar ice, the odds of such an eruption could be quickly rising. Either way, assuming that the 5th Seal has already been opened, then soon enough, we shall find out how God will manifest the opening of the 6th Seal.
HABs
I recently read an article that was filled with unfamiliar, and unexplained acronyms. It was very annoying. I do try to make an effort to indicate the meaning of acronyms and jargon employed.
The Guardian recently posted an article about HABs — harmful algae blooms (they must have run out of ideas for fake news).

I found the article interesting, as it reminded me of posts that I have written in the past. In “The Seventh Seal and Global Warming”, I discussed the possible role that HABs (aka harmful algae blooms) may play in the manifestation of certain prophecies in the Revelation. In Revelation 8:8-9, it says:
One of the most commonly known HAB is the “red tide”. There are several varieties of poisonous red algae that are all referred to as the red tide, as it turns the ocean red. As global warming progresses, the temperature of the ocean water also rises. The rising ocean temperatures have been blamed for accelerating the melting of the polar ice, as well as killing off the world’s coral — the Great Barrier reef has experienced significant coral death as the ocean warms. Warmer oceans are also conducive to the HABs that create a red tide. Anecdotal evidence would support the view that red tides are become more frequent, larger in size, and occurring in more areas (scientists have said the data is inconclusive due to a lack of historical tracking). It is possible that, at some point in the not so distant future, the oceans will warm to such a degree that a third of the world’s ocean becomes engulfed in a massive red tide. However, it is also possible that man himself will inadvertently create the global red tide.
After the Seventh Seal is opened, Revelation 8:7 tells us that 1/3 of the world’s tree will be burn:
The implication is that a heat spike will occur on a global scale. It will be so intense that 1/3 of the world’s forest will catch fire. It is very possible that man will panic and embark on a global geoengineering project in an attempt to extract carbon from the atmosphere, in hopes of stalling any further rises in temperature. The fastest, cheapest, and tested (on a limited basis) method would be to dump iron dust into the ocean. Iron is a nutrient for algae, so when it is dumped into the ocean, it triggers blooms of algae. This algae would then consume carbon dioxide, and when the algae dies, it would sequester the carbon (absorb the carbon in the atmosphere and take the carbon to the bottom of the ocean). Should the world engage in such a desperate measure, the heated oceans could cause the ensuing algae blooms to morph into the red tides (aka HAB), turning 1/3 of the world’s ocean to “blood” (i.e. the color blood red) — killing off any sea life trapped in the toxic waters.
The Guardian article also touched on HABs that occur in fresh water — the most common being blue-green algae. This site has argued that blue-green algae will play a role in a different prophecy from Revelation. Revelation 8:10-11 says,
Just as a warming ocean facilitates blooms of red tide, so does the warming of fresh water bodies, like lakes, facilitate blooms of blue-green algae (a very common fresh water HAB). As global warming accelerates, lakes and streams will warm, and blue-green algae blooms will become more frequent and wide-spread. Eventually one third of the world’s fresh water bodies will suffer from HABs that will render the water poisonous.
The Guardian article is a nice brief description about HABs, and shows how the workings of the natural world — one that God created — can bring about the fulfillment of prophecy. The signs of the prophecies from Revelation can be seen daily.
