Global warming driven by man-made emissions gets the main focus from the mass media, but it is the natural, self-reinforcing global warming cycles that will be responsible for its acceleration. There is one long term natural driver of global warming that is mostly ignored – the slowing of the global ocean currents.
This is one of the natural, self-reinforcing cycles that this website first highlighted years ago (which is why I am linking this recent article). This site has argued that a catastrophic acceleration of global warming will be a direct and indirect driver of a number of prophecies found in the Book of Revelation (e.g., the first three trumpets of the Seventh Seal). However, it is not a worry for Believers, assuming we are correct in our argument that the rapture will occur between the opening of the Sixth Seal and the opening of the Seventh Seal.
There is a body of scientific evidence that supports the idea that the amount of global-warming gases already in the atmosphere is consistent with catastrophic global average temperatures – it just takes some time for the natural global warming cycles to kick in. Basically, the extremist protestors like Extinction Rebellion are correct in their concerns – though this site published its arguments years before they showed up.
