We have long argued that science is the friend of faith in the End of Days. The coming manifestation of the prophecies of Revelation are consistent with the scientific research of today. In a most dramatic fashion, Stephen Hawking, the renowned physicist, has issued statements that are perfectly consistent with a number of arguments made on this site.

Hawking argues that man must leave the Earth within 30 years if he is to survive. The coincidence of his timing is amazing, as this site has argued that Christ will return by 2048 — 100 years after the founding of the modern state of Israel. Hawking thoroughly understands global warming, and that it is too late to attempt to stop, or even slow it. The amount of carbon and methane in the atmosphere already is consistent with a further 7 degrees Centigrade rise in average global temperatures. Man made global warming has triggered a number of natural global warming cycles that will eventually cause temperatures to spike higher in the not so distant future. Though we have argued that a catastrophic supervolcano eruption will be the manifestation of the opening of the Sixth Seal, a large asteroid strike (which Hawking seems to be very nervous about) is an alternative scenario (but by its very nature, cannot be predicted).
Hawking’s analysis is consistent with the prophecies of Revelation. Of course, Revelation means that man trying to colonize space would be a futile endeavor, as Christ’s return will preempt those attempts.
