Recently published research announced the existence of 91 newly discovered volcanoes in Antarctica.

These newly discovered volcanoes are primarily found in Western Antarctica. With this discovery, Western Antarctica can now lay claim to having the highest density of volcanoes in the world. This can have tremendous implications for global warming and the opening of the Sixth Seal.
This site has argued that increases in global average temperatures will accelerate way beyond the most aggressive estimates — though we can allude to scientific research to support this argument, the basis of our argument is found in Revelation. Global warming will need to drastically accelerate in order for it to be the direct and indirect force behind a number of prophecies found in Revelation. The newly found volcanoes in Western Antarctica may be one factor in an exponential increase in the rate of global warming.
We have sited previous research that says in the past, large scale melting of the land based ice in Antarctica is associated with heightened global volcanic activity. As this ice melts, it results in a tremendous reduction of weight which has forced down the land mass in Antarctica. As the weight of the ice is reduced, the land springs back up (relatively speaking) like a spring when weight is removed. This rapid rise in the land mass causes magma to rise with it, ultimately causing a new age of hyper-volcanic activity. As global warming (which includes the warming of ocean waters) accelerates, it may melt the Antarctic land based ice to such a degree that these newly discovered volcanoes begin to erupt and spew lava. This would cause a massive increase in the rate of ice melt in the region, which in turn, could result in further accelerating the rate of global warming.
The association between large scale polar melting and significant increases in global volcanic activity also serves for the basis of our argument that the opening of the Sixth Seal will be manifested by the cataclysmic eruption of a supervolcano. In Revelation 6:12-15, it says:
And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
A cataclysmic eruption of a supervolcano would bring about the events described above. As most of the volcanoes in Western Antarctica are below 2 kilometers of ice (at present), they are not related to the opening of the Sixth Seal. However, there are three supervolcanoes in the western part of America. By coincidence, a different scientific presentation, recently released, touches on one of these supervolcanoes — the Long Valley caldera in northern California.

The Long Valley caldera is one of the three supervolcanoes found in the western half of the United States (the Yellowstone caldera being the more infamous). However, it is the Long Valley caldera that is rated “very high threat”. Along with this, this supervolcano also has the most extensive monitoring systems installed around it — obviously somebody is worried.
We have argued that the next major event prophesied in Revelation is the opening of the Sixth Seal. This year, it is possible that the Arctic may technically be declared ‘ice-free’, 35 years ahead of schedule. More importantly, the land based ice of Greenland and Antarctica continues to decrease. Soon enough, the Sixth Seal will be opened, confirming to the world that we are truly in the End of Days.
