In the past, Republicans have tried to implement E-verify as a mandatory employment check, supposedly to stop the hiring of illegal aliens. Their failure to get it through Congress has not stopped the E-verify system from being developed and implemented.

Critics of tougher voter I.D. laws argue that it is discriminatory to require a valid state I.D. (or passport) to vote, as supposedly many minorities and poor people are not able to get one. Even should this be true, it would imply that there are millions of people who are basically not visible to electronic surveillance. If you do not have a state I.D., you also do not drive, do not have a bank account, nor have a credit card. It becomes highly problematic to implement a cashless society if a significant percentage of the population is unable to use an electronic form of money — thus making it impossible to implement the mark of the Beast (it took a bit of time to link this to Revelation). A national implementation of the e-Verify system would create a bio-metric I.D. system that would eventually enable the government to abolish cash, and create a cash-less economy. By doing this, the government can gain complete control over every transaction made by anyone in the country — making it possible to implement the mark of the Beast.
