I have read different ideas about where America fits into the prophecies of Revelation. I remember one theory that held America would be part of the Beast’s 10 nation superstate, and that its connection to the revived Roman Empire was because of its colonial connection with England. Though I never was a fan of that logic, that does leave unanswered the question — is there any reference to America in the prophecies of the End of Days?
An examination of many of the End of Days prophecies offers a mysterious absence of America the Superpower. For example, in Revelation 9:14-16, we are told of a massive army marching from the East — which can only be the People’s Liberation Army (i.e. the Chinese). This war will inflict such unimaginable casualties in the world, that surly weapons of mass destruction will be employed. This is inconceivable, unless, America has fallen from its superpower status and is unable to deterred such a horrible conflict.
In Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39, there is the prophecy of Gog and Magog. The accepted interpretation of this prophecy is that a powerful nation of the North (commonly thought to be Russia), will attack Israel, with Israel inflicting a horrible defeat over the invaders. Again, the implication is that something happened to America, where it is unable to deter Russia from attempting to invade Israel.
A different prophecy, found in Daniel chapter 2, tells of the rise of a revived Roman Empire. This prophecy is linked to the prophecy in Revelation (Revelation 13:1), which tells of the rise of the Beast (aka the Anti-Christ) as the leader of a merged 10 nation super-state. The implication is that Europe will once again become the leader of the West.
It is as if , in all three prophecies, we can see other nations moving to fill the vacuum left by the absence of America the Superpower. Given America is the reigning superpower in the world, whose military and economic might dwarfs rest of the world, why is it that it seems absent from End of Days prophecy? The answer might be found towards the end of the Book of Revelation.
In Revelation chapter 17, we are introduced to the Whore of Babylon. The Whore of Babylon is pictured working in conjunction with the Beast, even enjoying a dominant position over the Beast (Revelation 17:3-5):
However, we are told that the Beast eventually turns on the Whore, tearing at her flesh and burning her with fire (Revelation 17:16):
This site has been arguing that the Jews who are working for the rise of the Jewish moshiach (aka messiah) are the embodiment of the Whore of Babylon.
In Revelation chapter 18, we are told of the destruction of Babylon. The description of Babylon creates a picture that strongly resembles the current state of America.
For example, we are told of the great wealth of Babylon, and how those who sold goods to Babylon became wealthy. In Revelation 18:11-16, it says:
The current world economy is based on exporting goods to America. Every industrial nation pursues policies to weaken its currencies to enable them to sell their goods to America. This not only includes Germany and Japan, but also China, India, Vietnam, and many more. The Latin America drug trade makes billions of dollars a year (rough guess) shipping its goods to America. On this front, America’s resemblance to Babylon is undeniable.
Unfortunately, another description of Babylon is becoming all too apt for America as well. In Revelation 18:2, it says:
The Whore of Babylon has been fostering corruption, evil, and filth of every kind in American society — should one begin to list these insidious evils, it would truly paint a picture of a society being turned into a hellscape (to be honest, I am not up to going into this in detail, but any Believer knows what I am talking about).
Should America truly be the embodiment of Babylon, as described in the 18th chapter of Revelation, than America is not absent from the prophecies of Revelation. However, America does not play a major role in the events of the End of Days for a tragic reason. God will not turn a blind eye on the activities of the Whore of Babylon. The stench emanating from the Whore will eventually bring down God’s wrath — in Old Testament style. Revelation 18:8 tells us,
Revelation tells us that God, in destroying the Whore of Babylon, will also destroy Babylon itself. This site has made the argument that the Whore of Babylon, those Jews who are working to bring about the rise of the secular Jewish moshiach, are the power behind the illegitimate Biden administration. If we are correct in our argument, that the Whore of Babylon has taken control of America through massive voter fraud, then indeed, “Babylon the great is fallen“. It is for this reason that America the Superpower is absent from the world in the latter stages of the End of Days.
The crucial question, which is very unclear, is the timing of Babylon’s destruction, in relation to the timeline of Revelation. Given that the destruction of Babylon is detailed towards the end of the book of Revelation, one might think that it will occur just prior to the battle of Armageddon. However, I do not think this is the case. It is hard to imagine anywhere on Earth to remain so untouched by the events proceeding the opening of the Seventh Seal (Revelation chapter 8). One possibility is that America, aka Babylon, will be destroyed when the sixth trumpet is sounded. Revelation 9:14-16 says,
As the above conflict will result in 1/3 of the world dying, one can imagine the US on the losing side of a nuclear exchange. In such a scenario, it is easy to imagine all of the nuclear missiles landing on the same day. Yet, we are told that the world will look on in sorrow, for the loss of such a valuable customer, so this would seem inconsistent with a world engulfed in nuclear war — surly China will be very sad to lose its best export market, so it is a good bet the destruction of Babylon will not be due to Chinese nuclear missiles.
There is one juncture in Revelation, where two separate prophecies can be fulfilled at the same point in time — the opening of the Sixth Seal. We have been speculating that the at the opening of the Sixth Seal, a supervolcano will suffer a cataclysmic eruption. In Revelation 6:12-17, it says:
17For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
The eruption of a supervolcano would bring about the signs are described above. A massive earthquake would signal the start of the eruption. As the smoke and ash poured into the sky, it would blacken the daytime sun and turn the night time moon red. The politicians and billionaires would flee to their bunkers, with everyone else left to huddle in tunnels and basements.
America is home to three supervolcanos. The Yosemite Caldera is the most famous, but there is also the Longvalley Caldera in northern California and the Valles Caldera in New Mexico. Should a one of these supervolcanos erupt, the ash would cover 1/3 of the nation under a massive blanket of ash. The stock market would crash so hard, even the Federal Reserve would be unable to save it. The US dollar would become fairly worthless and every US bank would be bankrupt in every sense of the word. Conversely, world grain, produce, and meat prices would skyrocket, as most of the US food producing regions would be buried in ash for years. America (aka Babylon) would be finished — at the very least, it would no longer be a superpower. This site has been arguing that the opening of the Sixth Seal could very well happen in America, and should America truly be Babylon, then this would further support our argument.
America is not completely absent from Revelation. It could be argued that America plays a critical role in instigating a number of prophecies in the early part of the End of Days. However, America does not play a major role in the latter parts of the End of Days for tragic reasons. America is the embodiment of Babylon, and has fallen under the domination of the Whore of Babylon. For this reason, Revelation tells us the when God’s wrath strikes the Whore, Babylon (aka America) will also be destroyed in the process. This argument is not mainstream thinking — as far as I can tell — so you must decide to either ignore it, or to give it more thought, or to act on it. This argument represents a harsh reality, if it is an accurate interpretation of scripture, but the prophecies of Revelation says that life in the End of Days will be harsh. Let us pray that God is merciful towards His Believers and calls us up in the Rapture before the opening of the Seventh Seal. Then God will reward us for our faithfulness by inviting us to the Marriage of the Lamb.
