In Revelation 8:7, we are told what will happen when the first trumpet is blown, after the Seventh Seal is opened:

The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

We have speculated that it will be the world’s boreal forest that will burn.  This forest represents a third of the Earth’s forests, as it lies just under the Arctic circle, spanning across Canada, Russia, Alaska and northern Europe.  This year, Canada is again experiencing major fires in its northern forests.

B.C. fires stir memories of Fort McMurray—and fear for the future

Besides Canada, Russia is also experiencing massive fires in its boreal forests.

NASA took pictures of Siberia this past June and we can see numerous fires across Siberia.  Though the western media ignores Russia (except for fake news relating to Trump), Russia media does report on these massive fires.

As the Arctic zone is experiencing an increase in temperatures which far exceed the global average, the boreal forest is drying out, and as the trees dry out, they become more susceptible to insect infestation.  As the trees get overwhelmed with these pests, they die off — creating fuel for massive forest fires.

Revelation tells us that these fires are just a taste of what is to come.  It is difficult to determine where Believers can find shelter during the End of Days.  The southern Hemisphere looks promising — Australia, New Zealand, and perhaps Argentina and Chile.  Also, as the thermohaline  currents in the North Atlantic slow down, the northeast coast of North America and the coastal areas of northern Europe may experience local cooling, which could help offset the coming heat spikes.

We can see the signs of the coming prophecies of Revelation in the news everyday.
