EU politicans are supporting and promoting boycotts against Israeli corporations that operate in the West Bank. In a similar vein, the United Nations continue to spit out resolutions that are critical of the Israeli government’s Zionist policies.
We have argued that the Zionist nature of the Israeli government serves as a huge barrier that guarantees the failure of any attempt to merge Israel into any form of the EU, both current and future configurations. For this reason, those people who are preparing the way for the rise of the Beast, are engage in open warfare against the many forms of Zionism found in Israel.
Paul tells us in 2Thessalonions 2:3-4,
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
After the Anti-Christ rises to power over the newly created European mega-state, he will turn his attention to Israel. The Beast must gain power over Israel, as he will need to rebuild the Jewish Temple, in order to use it as his platform to proclaim himself God. He would be unable to do this if Israel remains an independent, sovereign nation. For this reason, the agents of the Beast have begun a war against the Zionist policies of Israel, as the first step by which they hope to ultimately bring about the political merger of Israel with the future European mega-state.
