The Second Trumpet

Revelation tells us that the opening of the Seventh Seal will be followed by the Seven Trumpets (Revelation Chapter 8).  This site has been arguing that the first three trumpets (and possibly the fourth as well) will be brought about by a catastrophic acceleration of global warming (please read the relevant Topics write ups for an in-depth argument).

The ocean temperature around Sydney is experiencing an ‘ocean heat wave’ as water temperatures are much higher than historical averages.  This is not an isolated incident as the global ocean average temperature continues to climb.

The blowing of the second trumpet is described in Revelation 8:8-9,

8And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

9And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

This site has argued that the ocean temperature will continue to rise until massive red tides will spawn, covering a third of the world’s ocean.  All sea life caught up in the red tide will die, as the red tide sucks out the oxygen in the water.

Of course, I could be wrong, and global warming is not real — instead, God will literally turn 1/3 of the world’s oceans to blood — though I think not.

Either way, the world continues to be filled with the signs of Revelation.
