The reports of the 5 Star Movement forming a coalition government in Italy were premature, as negotiations with the League still face certain hurdles.

Italian voters are rebelling against “moderate”, “center” politics (the mass media has moved the goal posts on what is considered moderate), with over 50% of the vote cast for “radical”, “far right” political groups.  Faced with the negative impacts of the policies of the establishment politicians (i.e. career politicians who are well funded by vested interests), people are finally starting to think independently from what they are told to believe by the mass media.

We will continue to monitor events in Italy as they could eventually prove to have a significant impact on the continuation of the European Union as it stands today.
