I just wanted to quickly follow up on a scientific point regarding affects of a slowing/stopping AMOC. According to one report –

when the AMOC slows, the ocean temperatures rise further in the South Atlantic. This results in warmer atmospheric temperatures in South America and Africa. Given this, we can see that a slowing AMOC will further contribute to higher temperatures in the Southern Hemisphere, making this zone the primary candidate for the prophecy in Revelation that calls for 1/3 of the world’s trees to burn (presumably from heat and drought).
