At some point, during the End of Days, the Israelis will rebuild the Temple on the Mount, which was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD. Judaic tradition says their secular moshiach will rebuild the Temple, and Revelation tells us that the Beast will lay claim to it, and will call upon the world to worship him as God. Before these things can happen, Israel will need to take over East Jerusalem. This will be a necessary prerequisite to rebuilding the Temple because in order to do this, they will need to destroy the mosque that currently sits on the Mount. The Al-Asqa mosque is the third holiest site of Islam, and as such, Muslims will riot when it is destroyed. For this reason, Israel will need to clear out most, if not all Muslims, from East Jerusalem.
Needless to say, Israel is slowly pushing out the remaining Palestinians from East Jerusalem, for their own reasons. The injustice of this and other policies, is what drives ‘terrorism’. Unfortunately, as the Temple will be built, it means that the Palestinians will continue to suffer and will eventually be driven out of East Jerusalem.
